QS rankings reveal ANU still best in country for Arts and Humanities

The Australian National University has maintained its position as the top Australian institution in the global QS Top Universities rankings and the number one Australian university for Arts and Humanities.

The ANU rose to 19th in the world in 2015 from 25th in 2014 and is the top-ranked member of the Group of Eight universities.

In addition, ANU kept its number one ranking in Australia for Arts and the Humanities.

“On behalf of the College of Arts and Social Sciences, I’d like to thank my colleagues for their tireless work in maintaining the university’s strength and quality in teaching humanities and the arts,” College interim Dean, Professor Paul Pickering, said.

“While these rankings are an imperfect measure, they are an important way for the university to assess its standing among some of the oldest and best universities of the world.”
